Daily practices include science-backed methods to help you deactivate your stress response and evoke a resilient, resourced state. We’ll be using breathwork, guided meditations, sound baths, movement, and journal prompts to helps us relax and effectively manage stress.
Research shows, if you engage in a regular stress-management practice (like the ones provided in this CHALLENGE), you’ll be able to manage stress more effectively, which means you’ll be less reactive and be able to recover more quickly from a stress response.
We’re all wired a little differently, that is why we include a variety of practices – try them all out and then gravitate to those that seem to sooth you the most. It’s no surprise, the practices you find the most enjoyable will be the ones that will effectively reduce your level of stress best – which, yes, helps you avoid burnout! You can choose to use the practice of the day or revisit one of your favorites from a previous day.

I believe in radical self-responsibility. As individuals, I think we need to take personal responsibility for our choices. A few years ago, I made a conscious choice to put my well-being on my schedule.
As a veteran CFO/COO with a growing family, I was always sprinting in a marathon. Until, one exceptionally busy year-end, my nervous system said, no more! – my neurons miss-fired, I had a seizure and lost access to my short-term memory for three weeks.
It motivated me to research my own nervous system so I could help both myself and others avoid the road to year-end burnout. I geared up with methods and practices to help sooth an overactivated stress-response and now I’m here to share them with you.
